The Solemnity of St George Luke 9:23-26

Today's Reading is from the Gospel of Luke.

Then, speaking to all, he said, "If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross every day and follow me. Anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake, will save it. What benefit is it to anyone to win the whole world and forfeit or lose his very self? For if anyone is ashamed of me and of my words, of him the Son of man will be ashamed when he comes in his own glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.

Father, speak to me I wish to receive your Word into my heart Send forth Your Spirit to me, Reveal Your Face to me today. Come O Holy Spirit Fill the hearts of Thy faithful Enkindle in me the fire of your love; Send forth Your Spirit and I shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth. O God,  Who by the light of the Holy Spirit; Instructed the hearts of Thy faithful; Grant that in the same Spirit I may be truly wise and Ever rejoice in His consolation. Amen.
